Susan M. Stepleton, O.D. specializes in pediatrics, binocular vision, eye muscle training and specialty contact lenses for children.
Dr. Stepleton is a graduate of Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan with a Bachelor of Vision Science degree. She then graduated with honors from the Michigan College of Optometry. During this time she gained experience with externships at Fort Wainwright Army Base in Alaska and Southeast Michigan State Prison. Dr. Stepleton furthered her training by completing a pediatric and binocular vision residency at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.
Dr. Stepleton gained professional experience at the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired in Jacksonville, Illinois, as well as the Friend Eye Clinic in Chicago. She has served as an instructor at the Chicago Medical School and the Illinois College of Optometry.
Dr. Stepleton is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association and the Michigan Optometric Association.
