Dr. Kitahata is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. He graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago with the degree of Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Kitahata gained further experience by completing an externship at Fort Sheridan Military Base and at Rock Island Armory.
Dr. Kitahata is a member of the American Board of Optometry, Illinois Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, Illinois College of Optometry Contact Lens Society, and Fox Valley Optometric Association.
