Specializations

Evan B. Price, M.D. specializes in neuro-ophthalmology. He diagnoses and treats patients with vision problems related to diseases affecting the brain and optic nerve.

Education

Dr. Price earned his bachelor’s degree in human biology with a concentration in neurobiology from Stanford University and his medical doctorate from Loyola University Chicago’s Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL and his residency at Loyola University Medical Center. He furthered his training through a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at both the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary and Northwestern University in Chicago. He concurrently completed a fellowship in medical education from the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Department of Medical Education. He then returned to the faculty of Loyola University Medical Center to direct the Neuro-Ophthalmology Service.

Experience

Though he has presented at local, regional, national, and international conferences, published in international journals, and served on local and international professional committees, Dr. Price’s greatest passion during his time in academic medicine was serving as director of the Ophthalmology Residency Training Program during his professorship at Loyola University Chicago. His commitment to education continues at Wheaton Eye Clinic in his desire to joyfully ensure his patients understand their medical care in whatever level of detail they desire. He also continues to train ophthalmology residents and medical students in subspecialty neuro-ophthalmic care at the Edward Hines, Jr. Veterans Administration Hospital.
