Noha S. Ekdawi, M.D. specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. She concentrates her practice on the medical and surgical treatment of various childhood disorders including strabismus (eye misalignment), amblyopia (“lazy eye”), cataracts, glaucoma, tear duct obstructions, prematurity and neuro-ophthalmology. She also treats adult eye muscle problems.
Dr. Ekdawi graduated with honors from Northwestern University with a B.S. degree in chemical engineering. She received her Medical Doctorate from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine and completed an ophthalmology residency, and furthered her training with a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology, from Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
Dr. Ekdawi has been involved in research throughout her career and has numerous publications and presentations in pediatric ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmology and adult strabismus.
Dr. Ekdawi is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Ekdawi is a member of the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Medical Association.
